I am a licensed clinical social worker in New York City, where I provide individual, couples, and family therapy from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens. I work with clients, from preteens through adulthood, who are experiencing racial trauma, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, life stressors, identity development, relationship issues, and family conflict. I draw from a range of clinical modalities, to create an approach that is personal for each client. I believe one of the most important parts of therapy is working collaboratively with my clients to foster an environment of connection and healing.
Much of my therapeutic work is informed by my trainings in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the Ackerman Relational Approach. Additionally, I have knowledge and trainings in: Suicide Assessments & Interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Clinical Supervision
I am dually licensed in both New York and New Jersey.
In addition to private practice, I work as a Clinical Director at a nonprofit agency supervising a team of school-based clinicians. Prior to that, I worked as a school clinician providing counseling services to Latinx middle school students and the surrounding Latinx community in North Brooklyn. I have experience working as a clinician with individuals and families.
I am passionate about working with people, hearing their stories, and helping them build healthier relationships with themselves and with others. I am passionate about working within my Latinx community to destigmatize mental health services in communities of color.
In addition to being a therapist, I am a dog mom, an avid reader - mostly romance novels or suspense, a former athlete, and a lover of the ocean.
But mostly I love laughing and being in community with my chosen family. I'm a firm believer that healing happens in community.
